I thought I forgave…
Sometimes the enemy wants us to think that we have not forgiven someone because he continues to pressure us with the same events by bringing them to mind. Numerous times people have said to me, “I tried to forgive, but the thought keeps coming back and I continually get angry each time I think of them so I forgive again and again. I guess I really don’t know how to forgive.” By using the Quality Decision, we have a point to work from; it is like the proverbial line in the sand that we will not go beyond; it is a stake in the ground from which we will not be moved. Here is what we can say:
I have made the Quality Decision and it stands and I will not be angry anymore – I have done as God commanded me (submitted this to God). Now I resist you satan and your talking to me about this issue. Now get out of my face about it!
Hit him with the Law book.
Remember that we do not walk by feelings. There may still be anger when you see that person or they come to mind, but whe...

Quality Decision
This is not an idea from an advertising slogan for a product. There are times we will need to make a decision and stand by that decision. This is a critical part of the defenses that we will use later to defeat satan in several areas. It is a decision that is thought out and weighed then we act on it. Once it is made, we stand by it and do not fall back into old actions like before the decision.
She dumped me!
Let’s say we consider making a decision to forgive our high school date for dumping us two days before the prom to go with someone else. When we arrive at the decision that we thought through and make an informed decision [informed that Jesus expects that of us] and to be released from the hard feelings when we see them at the prom, we make a note of the decision and say, “On May 15, 2008 at 6PM I choose as an act of my will to forgive Angela* for dumping me.” Then when those deceiving spirits come around and try to talk to us about that person and our hurt pride...

As today in Southern California, I can imagine that it was an equally glorious Sunday morning about 2000 years ago outside Jerusalem when several women went to the tomb of Jesus. It was a rushed time on Friday as they took His dead body from the cruel cross and as best they could, wrapped His body, and placed it in a tomb. Now they could prepare His body properly.
They and His followers had missed the critical message of the past several months. He was going to Jerusalem to be put to death at the hands of the Romans but delivered to them by the Jewish religious leaders. This part they heard and they were grieved. However, the part they missed was that He PROMISED He would come back to LIFE! He had always spoken the truth and He was doing it now. He would rise from the dead! If He said He would, then He will. It is that simple and yet profound.
The same Creator that placed the stars in space and populated the earth with nature will do wh...

Solomon discovered this. There really is nothing new under the sun. Is anger a recent problem or a plague on mankind since the beginning of mankind? Anger is noted in the opening pages of Genesis when two sons of Adam contended for the favor of the Lord God and one did not receive. His solution was to kill his brother. You have no doubt heard of Cain and Abel.
Fast forward a few thousand years and we are still angry, killing, hating, maligning, raging, carrying our anger around like a badge or maybe a chip on our shoulder and daring someone to mess with us.
Someone said it was like they were watching another person in their body raging uncontrollably at their children. They were questioning who that person was. Actually it was demonic, according to the Bible, and it seemed demonic as I look back on those scenes from my life. That image is burned into the wall
of my mind.
Another person said that they were only angry about 1% of the time; doesn’t seem that bad....

FINDING the ROOT OF THE PROBLEM
Most of our problems in life have a spiritual basis.
I have not interviewed everyone so I continue to leave this statement open ended rather than dogmatic. To this point, and I find support for this from the Bible, I have not encountered a single person with problems in their life that was not under the influence of an enemy encounter, broken Spiritual Law, or they have failed to take God at His word to change their life.
The problems of life are first of all spiritual because, according to God and His Word, we are first a spirit being, we have a soul (emotional person, mind, will, emotions), and we live in a body. If there is a problem, such as Anger and we are a spirit being, then it must be addressed in a spiritual method. We may eventually learn to manage anger with our mind or will and lots of training but to escape from the influence of anger, we need to discover the spiritual cause.
How’s that psychotherapy working for you so far?
